Jon Handy
Throughout Jon's nearly 20-year career with Alerus, he has held a variety of positions including marketing director, deposit product manager, and retail bank manager. In his current position as enterprise sales manager, Jon works closely with market leadership in all markets. He is primarily responsible for managing the sales process tools, conducting regular sales training, and supporting specific customer segments within the organization.
Although sales are part of the job, Jon finds working with new customers and developing the Alerus sales force the most rewarding. Customers and fellow co-workers have come to count on Jon as a valuable resource and expert for most any question.
Jon currently serves as board president for the Empire Arts Center and is on the marketing committee for the Grand Forks Airport Authority. He is a past board member/treasurer for the Grand Forks Country Club and past marketing chair for the Grand Forks Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Jon received a marketing degree from the University of North Dakota.
In his free time, Jon enjoys golfing and attending many of his kids various sporting activities. He and his wife, Gretchen make their home in Grand Forks with their two children, Sara and Nick.
