In April of 2008, Tim Rosene founded Studs to Rugs, a complete licensed and insured professional home repair and remodeling company in Fargo, North Dakota. Prior to that, he worked as an aircraft mechanic for 15 years. Since a young age, Rosene has enjoyed building and remodeling projects and dreamed of owning his own business. While he started with just a few acquaintances and references, Studs to Rugs has grown to more than 10 full-time employees and hundreds of satisfied customers. The company prides itself on its dedication to offering the highest-quality of work and the most exceptional customer service.

That steadfast commitment to customer service is what lead Rosene to switch banks. He was looking for a bank that offered more personalized service and that understood his fast-growing business.

“I was looking for someone to better suit my needs,” says Rosene. “Things in my business change quickly, and when I need answers, I need them fast. I wanted to be able to contact one person and have all the legwork done for me.”

Rosene also needed a bank that would quickly allow him credit lines as necessary. “Cash flow is tremendous in my business,” he says. “I wanted to be able to make one phone call and have my credit line taken care of.”

“The most important thing to me when I switched banks was personalized service,” he says. “I love the fact that I have one person to call. Time is money, and it’s huge for me to be able to call Andrew and have him take it from there.”

Rosene also appreciates the multiple locations in Fargo, noting that they make it convenient for dropping off deposits. As for the future, he says that Studs to Rugs will be expanding into new territories, and he expects Alerus to be alongside him.

“You need to surround yourself with people you trust,” concludes Rosene. “If you don’t trust your banker, you better switch your bank. Alerus has a belief in my company; they are vested in my company as much as I am. To me, that’s tremendously important.”
